Since its inception in 2002, Sunflower Farmers Market and its employees have recognized the connection between community and business.

Sunflower’s Partnership in Giving reflects our dedication to the organizations that have kept our local communities standing strong. The immediate goal is to impact our local communities in areas where it is needed most.

One of Sunflower’s strongest partnerships is with Goodwill Industries of New Mexico. Recently the Albuquerque and Corrales Sunflower Farmers Market stores were awarded with the Goodwill Industries of New Mexico Edgar Award in Human Services as 2008 Goodwill Partnering Employer of the Year.

Our markets in New Mexico frequently hire Goodwill clients and pave the way for them to succeed as employees. Sunflower is there to help further Goodwill’s mission of providing skill development and work opportunities to people with barriers to employment, including learning and developmental disabilities, age, lack of education, homelessness, and physical challenges, among others.

Sunflower Farmers Market has also worked closely with the Sixth Annual Valley Diaper Drive in Phoenix, Arizona, which provides diapers to those who cannot afford this essential item.
